Ohio Dominican University occurs as coed, four-season personal Catholic liberal arts university in Columbus, Ohio, with nearly 3000 students from either Xiii states & Xx foreign countries. A university was founded around 1911 by Dominican order nuns of St. Mary of the Springs.

History
Ohio Dominican University wwhen chartered inside 1911 as a College of Saint Mary of the Springs. It was originally founded as an tons-women's school, becoming co-co-ed inside 1964. Major components of Phase 1 focus include expansion of hall; extrthe sports & recreational facility; development of Sunbury Road as a gateway to the campus; & creation of a freshly campus center & survey center.

Supplementary student residence come required to meet a housing needs of the increasing total of traditional students. Following, Ohio Dominican has opened ii fresh student resident buildings, Siena Hall & Aquinas Hall, around Fall 2004.

Sports
A University presently competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Ohio Dominican offers Baseball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, Women's Volleyball, and Men's & Women's Golf. A Ohio Dominican Football Panthers will play in the Mid-States Football Association of the NAIA, beginning play in Fall 2004.

Students and Student Development
By owning a hiring of a newly vice president for student development, a university is significantly expanding the level of in-campus student extracurricular activities & improving residential life.
